8:30 AM — Kudremukh Peak First View (Onti Mara) A 1-hour moderate hike to the halfway viewpoint — sweeping 360° vistas over the peak. Book permits at kudremukhanationalpark.in
11:00 AM — Main Peak Viewpoint Push on to see the iconic horse-face silhouette of Kudremukh in full glory. Bring snacks & water.
1:30 PM — Hanumana Gundi Falls Descend 300 steps to the sacred waterfall — the source of the Tunga River. Entry ~₹50. Open until 4 PM.
3:30 PM — Lunch at Bhagavathi Nature Camp Jungle Lodges’ riverside camp serves hot meals in a stunning forest setting.
5:30 PM — Sringeri Sharada Peetham End the day at this ancient temple on the Tunga riverbank. Evening puja is deeply peaceful. Open till 9 PM.
TRAVEL TIPS
Permits — Kudremukh Peak trek requires a forest permit booked in advance at kudremukhanationalpark.in. Daily entries are strictly limited — book 2–3 days ahead on weekends.
Footwear — Wear proper trekking shoes with good grip. Trails become slippery during and after rain. Sandals are not permitted inside the national park.
Carry Cash — Most attractions, entry points, and roadside eateries in the area are cash-only. Nearest ATM is in Kalasa, 15 km away.
No Plastics — Single-use plastic is banned inside Kudremukh National Park. Carry a reusable water bottle — we’ll refill it for you at the resort.
No Signal Zones — Mobile networks are patchy inside the park. Download offline maps before heading out. Our front desk can print trail maps on request.
Best Season — Oct–Feb for clear skies and cool weather. June–Sept brings dramatic monsoon greenery but trails may be closed. Check conditions at check-in.
Jungle Prep — Apply insect repellent before any trail walk. Leeches are common June–Oct — tuck your socks over your pants.
Getting Around — Most sights require your own vehicle. Our reception can help arrange a local cab or jeep for the day. Ask at least a day in advance.

🗓 Best Time to Visit
Oct–Feb is the sweet spot — cool temperatures (14–22°C), clear skies, and trails fully open. Perfect for trekking and sightseeing.
June–Sept (Monsoon) turns the Western Ghats a dramatic, lush green — incredibly beautiful, but some trails including Kudremukh Peak may be closed. Great if you just want to soak in the atmosphere.
Mar–May is warmer but quieter, with fewer crowds and good trail access.
🌙 How Many Nights?
1 night — Best for a quick escape. Do the full day itinerary we planned (peak trek + falls + Sringeri) and leave refreshed.
2 nights — The sweet spot. Day 1 for Kudremukh Peak & falls, Day 2 for Kurinjal trek, coffee estate walk, and a relaxed morning.
3+ nights — If you want to go slow, birdwatch, explore nearby villages, and truly unwind in the jungle.
